Leonard Andrew Consulting is proud to announce it's partnership with the US Performance Academy, the accredited, private, online, middle & high school created for high-performance athletes!

"This is an exciting partnership and collaboration, especially as the world becomes increasingly more digitally inclined," notes Chad Dorman, LAC's Founder and Director. "Remote learning is growing by the day, and to have a top-flight education right at the fingertips of our student-athletes around the world is not just an educational stop-gap, but is an academic solution and opportunity, one that is quickly becoming a way of life."

US Performance Academy is designed for young athletes looking for a school that supports their unique schedule, creates a pathway towards their personal, professional, and athletic goals, and leverages the latest technology for an on-the-go environment. The supportive, flexible, innovative school you have been searching for.
This is a school and a program is unlike any other. Designed by athletes and educators, the approach specifically benefits driven students who are training, traveling, competing, and pushing to the next level. The online curriculum allows for a flexible school schedule and academic calendar. The support system keeps students involved, motivated, and on track to success. And the focus on the student-athlete’s future goals and aspirations opens up a doorway to future opportunities.

USPA President, Pete Smith, learned first hand during his Olympic campaign about the time and commitment a student-athlete needs to dedicate to their sport in order to succeed. Those experiences, combined with his time at Columbia, and his time running traditional schools allowed him to understand that handing a student a pile of worksheets and labeling them as “supportive” just isn’t good enough.

Learning doesn’t need to be dictated by where you are in the world. Students don’t need to be in a classroom, sitting in rows of desks. It can be so much better and it needs to be so much better.

That’s why US Performance Academy was created. As former athletes and educators, they understand the schedule of a high level athlete: priorities, unique goals, and struggles facing academics. Together with LAC, USPA will continue to offer solutions, not more road-blocks.

This is a school and a system unlike any other, and we're excited for our future together!

We continue to keep an eye on how #COVID19 is altering the world of college athletics, specific to the recruiting of incoming student-athletes ('20 & '21 classes).

As is now widely known, the NCAA suspended ALL in-person recruiting through May 31. With this, the National Letter of Intent (NLI) announced updated signing periods:

For ALL Division 1 and Division 2 sports, signing is suspended through April 15th.

D1 Basketball has now been pushed out until August 1st of this year. Note that the regular period is typically held between April 15th and May 20th.

Football (D1 and D2) has had it's signing period extended out to August 1st. This regular period is typically held between February 5th and April 1st.

For ALL OTHER Division 1 and Division 2 sports, the signing period has NOT changed (and will continue until August 1st).

At this time, high school juniors who intend on signing in the '20-'21 academic year (for college entrance in '21-'22), your timeline for signing the NLI has not been impacted.
